Update on the game's progress


Hi!

This is an update to the last post I made a while ago. I have changed the focus of the update after that.

There was a delay in the progress as I had to remake the game from scratch recently as the old project file started to act weird. it took me only a couple of days to finish the core mechanic! As I am starting fresh, I thought I will make some changes to the plan too. I plan on working on the game play and core mechanic for this update

No themes (For now)

I had shown in the last devlog that the game will have themes. Sadly I have decided not to. As, it started delaying other parts of the game and also as it was just an aesthetic change. I did have most of the stuff finished, but it didn't feel nessasary

Power-Ups!!

Yes! Power-Ups will give you bonuses. This hasn't been fully implemented yet. But, soon!

For now, here are some assets for it,



New enemy type

The game now has a new enemy type! Doesn't really have a name, but lets just call it the red bomber. It shoots projectiles that slow down, and explodes after a few seconds. If near, it can do more damage to the player than normal bullets. 

It will shoot the projectiles near to the player instead of directly at it. You can make the bombs explode by shooting them too 

Difficulty curve

This hasn't been finalised. Likely not a wave system. But, slowly increasing the amount of a particular enemy type on the bases of the score, time survived, etc.. just how the difficulty curve is increased normally

Other Ideas?

Maybe a boss enemy type? could be an combination of multiple enemy types
