Looped V1.2 in the making!


Hi, here is a devlog for my in development game "Looped" and what I have done till now.  These changes have not yet been released and is still in testing stage and not fully complete

ADDITIONS

- Themes, which will change the overall look of the game. Currently there are 6 new themes and planning to add 4 more.

Here is one of the themes:


- Scores, Yes.. every game should have one. But, as this game started as a jam game, it didn't have any! It will show the highscore, total kills, time survived. You can see it in the image above 

- Particles, effects, etc... The game lacked some punch. So, I have added particles when you hit the enemy, player and some effects when the circle shrinks. I don't have a screenshot of the enemy particle as I was having a hard time taking a screenshot of it.


BUG FIXES

- Fixed enemy not being scaled from the center

- Fixed screen scaling and adapting issues to an extent

- Fixed scores not displayed in the correct place when player loses

PLANS FOR THE GAME

- Add a rare "boss" enemy

- Add power ups

- Make better music and SFX

- Add an achievement system

- Port Looped to mobile platforms

- Make an online highscore system

- Add a settings menu

This is not an impressive amount of change. But, this is an process of making a jam game into a commercial one. I hope to post more as I get time. This game does not have much features  and might have some general features that needs to be added. These changes are not permanent and could be changed.
